Night-Time Light Remote Sensing Mapping: Construction and Analysis of Ethnic Minority Development Index
نویسندگان
چکیده
Using toponym data, population and night-time light we visualized the development index of Yi, Wa, Zhuang, Naxi, Hani, Dai ethnic groups on ArcGIS as well distribution 25 minorities in study area. First, extracted data area, combined with proportion each group, then obtained group We compared indexes higher indexes. The results show that Yi nationality’s was highest, reaching 28.86 (with two decimal places), lowest (15.22). areas highest minority were concentrated core area development, size varied minority’s distance. According to minorities, found distributed almost entire while other had obvious geographical characteristics, there multiple living together. This research is great significance cultural protection remote sensing mapping lights at night.

A Scientometric Visualization Analysis for Night-Time Light Remote Sensing Research from 1991 to 2016
In this paper, we conducted a scientometric analysis based on the Night-Time Light (NTL) remote sensing related literature datasets retrieved from Science Citation Index Expanded and Social Science Citation Index in Web of Science core collection database. Using the methods of bibliometric and Social Network Analysis (SNA), we drew several conclusions: (1) NTL related studies have become a rese...
متن کاملLand cover land use mapping and change detection analysis using geographic information system and remote sensing
Land cover/land use categories are relevant components in land management. Understanding how land cover/land use change over time is necessary to assess the consequences of humans and natural stressors on the earth’s environment and resources. The aim of the study was to map and monitor the spatial and temporal change in land cover/land use for the periods of 1977, 1991 and 2016 and to predict ...
متن کاملCIESIN Thematic Guide to Night-time Light Remote Sensing and its Applications
Night-time light imagery stands unique amongst remote sensing data sources as it offers a uniquely ‘human’ view of the Earth’s surface. The presence of lighting across the globe is almost entirely due to some form of human activity be it settlements, shipping fleets, gas flaring or fires associated with swidden agriculture. This extensively illustrated guide introduces users to the types of nig...
متن کاملGeographic Information Issues Associated with Socio- Economic Modelling from Night-time Light Remote Sensing Data
The ability to model socio-economic parameters from remote sensing data sources is an important element in addressing the data gap that currently exists for linking human and physical systems in Earth system models. The provision of information about such parameters in a gridded format would be highly advantageous for incorporation with other environmental datasets within a Geographical Informa...
متن کاملMapping Spatial Variability of Soil Salinity Using Remote Sensing Data and Geostatistical Analysis: A Case of Shadegan, Khuzestan
Extended abstract 1- Introduction Soil salinity is one of the most important desertification parameters in many parts of the world. Thus, preparing soil salinity maps in macro scales is necessary. Water and soil salinity as one of the contributing parameters in desertification, cause soil and vegetation degradation. Soil salinization represents many negative effects on the earth systems such ...
